Smart Page Creator - The Smart Way To Create and Manage Smart Pages

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Does Smart Page Creator explain how the Smart Page concept works?

No! Smart Page Creator is a tool to create Smart Pages accordingly with the Search Engine Smart Page Calibration System™ that is revealed and fully explained in the book "Under Oath" by Stephen Pierce.

Can I use the software to create Smart Pages without reading the "Whole Truth" book?

Yes, if you use the Easy Mode. No, if you use the Advanced Mode as it requires a good knowledge on how the Smart Page concept works.

There are already many people using this software without reading the book with good search engine positions. However, If you know how the system works you can take more advantages in using this software.

Note that the book "Under Oath" (Whole Truth) is not only a book about smart page - it contains also good marketing strategies that you can use on your web sites.

Why 3 types of Smart Pages?

There are some people concerned in using Smart Pages with search engines that instantly redirect visitors. If that's your case you can use one of the other two types:

  • Smart Billboard that allows you to use or not a delayed redirection and that also uses the "PopExit" feature to guarantee that visitors always get the web site you are promoting;

  • Smart Frame that do not use any redirection.

I keep reading that smart pages are being banned all over the web. Is that true?

No!

I wouldn't have this web site up and running (with 100% happy customers) and still developing new releases of Smart Page Creator if pages were being banned all over the Internet!

And here's the truth!

As Smart Pages became very popular because they are an inexpensive and a very effective way to get top rankings, they also became, for some Search Engine Optimizers (SEO), a 'target to destroy'.

These pseudo SEOs started inventing problems and rumors because they are unable to compete with Smart Pages.

And the reason is very simple: Money!

You see, when you start getting high rankings by using Smart Pages you will never need their services or products to optimize your sites for search engines.

They are so desperate that they even started the rumor that Smart Pages were being banned all over the web, with the secrecy hope that you hear and believe them.

And guess what! It's not working because Smart Pages are now more popular due to the controversy these people started around this type of search engine optimization technique.

It's almost certain that they will use other "low techniques" to try destroying the popularity of Smart Pages, but they will never achieve that because people are smarter and also getting good results.

While they are distracting you with these rumors, they are using very similar techniques, and some of them even use Smart Pages, to get top rankings… and earning a lot of money each month.

Just do yourself a favor: Don't believe in everything you hear or read and start using Smart Pages right now, with some precautions (see below). The benefits of using them are much bigger than not using.

An important recommendation: When you get good results by using smart pages or other technique do not reveal it to anyone, or reveal just to people you trust. There are out there many jealous people.

Is there any precaution I should have when using smart pages?
Should I use smart pages in my primary domain or in a secondary domain?

As the "Smart Page" subject is currently so "hot", I would be lying to you if I said: "No, you don't need to take any precaution in using Smart Pages."

Yes, there are some precautions you should have, but first let me show how people are using them:

Some people are using Smart Pages only in their primary business domains, other are using only in promotional (secondary) domains.

Some people are using pages with no redirection (Smart Billboards and Smart Frames types) in their primary domains and pages with instant redirection (Smart Page type) in promotional domains.

As Smart Pages are currently getting much attention due to its popularity, I suggest, as a precaution measure, to use Smart Pages in promotional domains to drive traffic to your main web sites or affiliate products.

Nowadays you can register domains and hosting web sites for a very low price. Once your smart pages start driving traffic your investment will be returned many times.

Never forget that to get listed and ranking high in search engines you must also have good links to your web sites.

Update:

From the feedback I get from my customers, almost all of them use Smart Pages in their main domains. None of my customers ever reported that they were penalized just because they were using Smart Pages on their domains.

Also, and from my experience with the "Smart Pages" subject, I never knew from a truthfully source that web sites were being penalized or banned because they were using Smart Pages. This does not mean it will not change in future because no one knows what Google or any other search engine will do tomorrow...

So, my recommendation is something different from the above: If you are not comfortable using Smart Pages or other search engine optimization technique on your primary domains, then use them on secondary domains.

What are "secondary" or "promotional" domains?

Are domains created with the main purpose to use some search engine optimization techniques to drive traffic to main web sites (primary domains) or affiliate products.

If one of the search engine techniques used cause any problems with search engines (like being penalized or banned), people just create other secondary domain and continue...

Many people create more than one secondary domain to test different search engine optimization techniques. This allows them to check what technique works better and use it intensively in other secondary domains.

How do I get good links for my web sites, in order to get listed on search engines?

A lot of people assume that the more links to your site, the higher your ranking in search engines, but it's not that simple.

Google (and other search engines) rankings have a big ranking component based on "link popularity" (how many sites are linking back to yours). It's not just the total number of links, but the "quality" of the links.

Google, for example, knows the quality of a site (on which the link to your site originates) by examining the links pointing at it.

Note: Links from other sites to your site must be related. Don't exchange links with sites that are unrelated to the content of your web site, solely for the purpose of enhancing your rankings or you can be penalized for that.

So how can you get more links? Not just any links, but high-quality, relevant ones?

SiteSell Value Exchange

The SiteSell Value Exchange is the simplest, fastest, most efficient, and most real way of exchanging links. It's a true use of the Net: relevant quality sites linking to related quality sites only, just the way Search Engines want it.

I strongly recommend you to register your site(s) with this service to get high-quality links to your site and enhance its link popularity and PageRank. Click here to register with SiteSell Value Exchange. It's FREE, but that will not last forever.

The "Under Oath" Book

The "Under Oath" book has also very good info and great tips about this subject. Read the "Targeted Traffic Acceleration - The Laser Focused Link Partner Method" section.

I heard that using doorway pages or redirects on pages might get your pages penalized. Is that true?

It would only be true if the question were:
I heard that using doorway pages or redirects on pages in the wrong way might get your pages penalized.

Lets see what Google expressly says about redirects in their "Quality Guidelines - Specific recommendations":

"Don't employ cloaking or sneaky redirects".

You see? "sneaky redirects". Not just "redirects"!

What Google means is: do not use redirects to send people to pages or sites that are not related with the search terms! Just that!

And I completely agree! I hate to click in a link that says for example "web site promotion" and end in a site that has nothing to do with web site promotion.

But this rule applies to all web pages, not just to smart pages.

About doorway pages... that's an old story and I suggest you to read the following articles as it certainly clears up a lot of misconceptions and will help you understand redirects, doorway pages etc:

Auto-Redirecting (http://www.webworkshop.net/auto-redirecting.html)
Doorway Pages (http://www.webworkshop.net/doorway-pages.html)

After reading these articles you'll see there's nothing wrong in using redirects or doorway pages as long you use them in the correct way.

Smart Pages are more information pages than just doorway pages. Information pages are pages with "real" content and all of them with unique content. Doorway pages usually don't have "real" content, are all identical (except on the search term - keywords) and sometimes have phrases that do not make any sense.

Don't forget that Smart Pages created with this software have "real" content, and all pages have unique content if you use the Easy Mode. The originality and quality of the content depends on you as you will select and enter the description for the pages.

Is it ethical to use Smart Pages to get high rankings?

I couldn't believe that someone asked this to me. So, before answering I did some research and found (once again from Phil Craven's Search engine optimization web site) a great article about this subject.

I strongly suggest you to read it:
"Ethical" Search Engine Optimization Exposed!

Can you give me some tips or advices about using or creating Smart Pages? What to do, what to avoid?

Here are some important tips/advices:

  • SMART PAGES SHOULD NEVER BE USED FOR DECEPTION!

  • NEVER USE A KEYWORD PHRASE THAT IS NOT RELATED WITH THE CONTENT OF THE WEB SITE.

Wrong: "Cheap Flights" as keyword phrase and then redirect visitors to a Groceries web site.

Correct: "Affordable Search Engine Optimization" as keyword phrase and then redirect visitors to SmartPageCreator.com :)

  • Get related links to the site where you have your Smart Pages! If you don't get related links, your pages (Smart or not) will never get high rankings. If you need quality and related links click here for this free (for now) resource!

  • If possible use Smart Pages in a secondary (promotional) domain.

  • Use always different content for all groups of pages you create. Do not repeat content used in a group of pages in other group, even if you're going to use them in different domains. Search engines love unique content.

  • Do not use the same keyword phrases in different groups if you're going to use the pages in the same domain.

  • When creating pages in Easy Mode and using a group of pages with same keyword phrases to different domains (different groups), enter the keywords in one of the groups in a different order, as it will generate pages with different secondary keyword phrases.

  • If you have two groups with same keywords to use in different domains, create different Smart Page types. Example: In domain A use "Smart Page" type and in Domain B use "Smart Frame" type. This way you will get a good idea what works better for your sites.

  • Do not use Smart Pages to promote unrelated products or sites in same domain. This can affect the relevancy of your site.

  • If you use promotional (secondary) domains for your smart pages, create content for that domain! Don't just upload the smart pages; create also other pages with related content.

  • Use always very specific and targeted keyword phrases to get better results. Do not use general or very competitive keyword phrases like "internet marketing" or "search engine" because smart pages works better for very specific and less competitive ones.

  • Use very specific and targeted keyword phrases that the "smart web searcher" will type in to find the kind of product or service you are selling.

  • A lot of untargeted traffic generally means "No Sales"! Use very specific and targeted keyword phrases and remember this: "I prefer to have 5 people per day visiting my site and buy than have 1,000 just looking to my pages".

  • NEVER hide links to site maps or smart pages in a pixel image or very small text, as your pages might not be indexed.

  • NEVER submit you Smart Pages to Google. See Help document for more info.

  • READ the Smart Page Creator Help document and Step-By-Step guide.

My smart pages don't redirect! They load and load and load but they don't immediately redirect to my index page. Why they don't redirect?

You didn't upload the flash object (.swf) file to the same folder where smart pages are located or you didn't upload the file in Binary mode!

Please see the Step-By-Step guide as it has very detailed info on how to upload files.

Can I use a small pixel image in my home page to link to my site map and smart pages files?

Do not hide links for site map or smart pages by using a very small image or very small text, as spiders may not follow them and your pages will not be indexed.

The rule is very simple: if a link is "hidden" in a page it's because is not important. Why follow a link if isn't important?
